Song Studio

Build a full idea in one place.

Song Studio is where the MPL tools stop feeling separate. Program drums, shape a synth line, write harmony, balance the buses, and bounce a full loop without leaving the browser.

One transport keeps drums, synth, and harmony locked together. The real MPL synth sits inside the workflow, not on a separate page. Mix and export the full sketch when the loop is ready.

What makes this section matter

3 lanes Drums, synth, and harmony all in the same workspace.
1 clock Shared tempo, swing, bars, and playback position.
1 bounce Export the combined loop as one master WAV.
Workflow video

See the full loop come together.

This walkthrough shows what makes Song Studio different inside MPL: one synced transport, a real drum lane, the full synth with its phrase lane, harmony on the same timeline, and a mixer that records the live master bus.

Start with rhythm

Use the full drum editor to build the groove, swap samples, and define the pocket before anything else sits on top.

Add a synth idea

Use the same MPL synth from the Sound Design flow, then write a phrase directly underneath it in the synth lane.

Glue it with harmony

Use the harmony piano roll to frame the loop musically, then balance all three buses and bounce the sketch.

Global Transport

These controls drive the whole studio. Every lane follows this transport.

Initializing Song Studio…

Lane 01

Drum groove

Use the full drum editor to program the pulse of the loop before you layer anything melodic on top.

This lane is the rhythmic foundation of the sketch. Everything else locks to this same transport.
Lane 02

Synth idea

Shape the patch with the real MPL synth, then write a phrase directly below it using the synced synth lane.

This lane is where sound design and sequencing finally live in the same place. Tweak the patch, hear the change, and keep building the loop.
Lane 03

Harmony and movement

Use the harmony piano roll to support the groove with chords, motifs, or top-line movement that completes the sketch.

Because the whole page shares one transport, harmony sits against the drums and synth exactly where you expect it to.

Bus Mixer

Control the balance of the full sketch without leaving the page.
